1. Introduction to Multimedia Design and Software Applications: This introductory course to multimedia design covers key principles and applications, and provides hands-on experience with industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling tools. Students will develop foundational design and software skills through practical exercises, with bi-weekly assessments and hands-on practice to monitor progress.
2. 2D Motion Graphic Development: This program will introduce the process of creating 2D and 3D motion graphics and provide hands-on training in retopology, texturing, rigging, and animation techniques. Students will complete collaborative projects to practice applying learned skills and working effectively with local team members. The program will also familiarize students with Adobe ecosystems and provide hands-on training in character design and movements, animation production progress, and voice over. During the first quarter, students will be assigned to contribute to no less than 5 client projects.
3. Business Operations: introduce business development and project meetings, and allow students to shadow senior team members. Students will learn research techniques for developing creative pitching materials and research angles, and participate in collaborative exercises to gather and analyze client information and present findings. During the first quarter, students will be assigned to contribute to at least five client projects.
4. Advanced and 3D Motion Graphics and Collaboration: Comprehensive 3D motion graphic design training program designed to elevate techniques and visual effects. The training program also incorporates group projects with team members located overseas, providing invaluable experience in remote collaboration and cross-cultural communication. The program includes peer feedback sessions and hands-on training in industry-standard software like Maya ecosystems. Students will be equipped with skills needed in basic character design, animation, and voice-over production. Students will have had the opportunity to contribute your newfound skills to at least two real client projects, gaining practical experience and building your professional portfolio.
5. Visual Communication Strategies: delves into the core principles of visual communication, providing students with a deep understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Through practical exercises and real-world applications, students will learn how to effectively apply these principles to create compelling marketing-oriented designs. Students will attend critique sessions to gain feedback on their work and learn how to better align their designs with marketing and sales goals. They will also participate in creative pitching tasks with Global 500 corporations and clients in Allua’s Singapore and Taiwan branches. These opportunities will give students valuable insights into the professional design industry as well as help them build the skills and confidence needed to launch their careers.
6. Advanced Creative Pitch Deck Development and Presentation: Enhance comprehension of effective creative pitch deck delivery through practical exercises designed to refine persuasive presentation skills and storytelling techniques. Engage in simulated client scenarios to develop proficiency in pitching animation and video projects with confidence and clarity. Students will be assigned no fewer than five client projects as contributors, to be completed by or before the end of Quarter 3. Additionally, this initiative will emphasize strategic communication, audience engagement, and the ability to tailor presentations to diverse client needs. Feedback sessions will be incorporated to refine approaches, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience in delivering compelling, results-driven pitches.
7. Comprehensive Video Production Workflow and Techniques: Students will engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and an in-depth exploration of all key departments within the video production process. This includes copywriting, voice dubbing, audio mixing, animation production, and video shooting, covering essential steps throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production stages. Hands-on experience will be provided across various aspects of video production, such as professional photography, event shooting, storyboarding, equipment selection guidelines, drone operation and training, as well as VR and AR interactive videography. Additionally, students may participate in onsite production tasks at Allua’s in-house recording and filming studios to develop a professional-level portfolio. No fewer than three client projects will be assigned to students as contributors, to be completed by or before the end of Quarter 3.
8. Training and Proficiency in Creative Technology Applications: Students will receive specialized training in optimizing visual tools for social media, such as Instagram filters and Memojis, as well as integrating animations and videos with various viewing platforms. This includes an introduction to programming principles (e.g., CSS3, JavaScript-driven applications), interactive video platforms, and dynamic website design with motion elements using tools like Wix and WordPress.
9. Integration of AI-Driven Elements in Multimedia Design: This module introduces AI technologies and their applications in multimedia design, with a focus on AI-generated graphics, automated processes, and advanced design techniques. Hands-on exercises will provide students with opportunities to incorporate AI-driven elements into multimedia projects. Additionally, students will be invited or registered for no fewer than three industry events focused on AI technologies and advancements by the completion of the training program.
10. Ethical Considerations and Responsible Use of AI: Students will explore the ethical implications of AI technologies in multimedia design, focusing on fairness, transparency, and bias mitigation. Discussions and hands-on exercises will emphasize responsible AI practices, ensuring that ethical considerations are integrated into creative decision-making. Case studies will provide insights into real-world challenges, reinforcing the importance of accountability in AI-driven design.
11. Integration and Application: Students will apply their acquired knowledge and skills to real-world marketing projects, collaborating with clients to develop comprehensive creative strategies while leveraging AI technologies where appropriate. Final assessments will be conducted by clients, local offices in Taiwan and Singapore, and fellow colleagues. The program will conclude with presentations showcasing students’ progress, achievements, and professional growth.
Requirement
- Currently pursuing or have a degree in a relevant field (e.g., design, advertising)
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software
- Experience in 3D animation, film production, or video editing (preferred)
